Klia’s Story...

In the year 2000, debilitating shame around out-of-control emotional eating and body image struggles sent me on a physical, emotional, and spiritual odyssey—one that would change the course of my life.

Through that journey, I came to see these urges—whether to eat unnecessarily or to spiral into self-criticism—for what they truly were: signs that something in me was scared. As a child, those fears were too overwhelming to face, so other parts of me stepped in, developing desperate strategies—turning to food for comfort or self-judgment for control.

What I now know is that all of these parts—scared, seeking calm, clinging to control—formed in the absence of a loving, wise presence, something I didn’t have growing up. But through my spiritual odyssey, I discovered that this presence was never truly absent. It had always been here—inseparable from all of life, both within me and beyond me. And when my scared parts finally felt its warmth, they no longer had to carry their burdens alone.

For many of us, emotional or physical pain sparks a deeper quest for healing and meaning. Some feel called to share what we’ve learned—and what we’re still learning—from that journey.

By 2005, the relief was undeniable. Food cravings no longer controlled me. The shame that once felt unbearable had lifted. As I learned to source love and wisdom from this presence, my relationships became simpler, more authentic, and deeply meaningful. I also felt an irresistible pull to share the transformative power of the practices that had helped me find this presence.

I left my career in international development at the World Bank to do just that. Over the next 15 years, I taught in multinational banks, U.S. government agencies, law firms, and private corporations. Along the way, I worked with thousands of people, guiding them through their own healing journeys. My work was featured internationally by Agence France-Presse, NBC, ABC, NPR, The Washington Post, and TEDx.

Today, I facilitate individuals and international groups in the arts of emotional healing, intuition, and awakening. I also lead the Facilitators’ Collective, a gathering of spiritually-mature facilitators further developing their skills and offerings within an international and mutually-supportive curated community. My mission is to help more and more people recognize that the loving, wise presence they’ve been searching for is already right here.
